Sean designs gardens that create a sense of gently-ordered beauty, and the occasional surprise. They form a link between the client, their property, the garden and, where appropriate, the landscape beyond.
"I love the poetry and music around gardens."
Sean was trained at The Inchbald School of Design in London. His passion for plants was nurtured in childhood and has played an important part of his life. This passion is informed by his enthusiasm for painting, drawing and writing.
"Making gardens for clients is a privilege. and one formula does not seem to suit all clients."
Sean believes that successful gardens are thoughtfully designed, taking into consideration how the clients is going to use the garden and which plants will be happy growing there. He also approaches garden design as an artist might approach the composition of a painting; By intuitively using geometry, light, form, texture and colour he hopes to make original gardens.
